Our client are a large corporate Financial Institution based in Surrey are looking to recruit a Trust Tax Assistant Manager to work in the private client team advising partners, clients and tax staff on matters pertaining to income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax mainly in relation to UK trusts and their beneficiaries and with some awareness of offshore trust matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To maintain a knowledge of current legislation on trust and estate related matters and interpret this in relation to clients
• To understand and interpret the effects of trust deeds and wills
• To advise internal and external clients on trust tax matters;
• To support and assist in business development of the trust group with internal and external clients and intermediaries
• To monitor deadlines relating to trust clients;
• To complete/review IHT and self assessment returns for trust and estate clients
• To manage and maintain a small portfolio of private clients in addtion to the main trust work. This will be dependent on levels of trust work.
